Hot supply chemical: Piperine
Piperine is commercially available. If desired, it may be extracted from black pepper using dichloromethane. Aqueous hydrotopes can also be used in the extraction to result in high yield and selectivity. The amount of piperine varies from 1-2% in long pepper, to 5-9% in the white and the black peppers of commerce.
Further, it may be prepared by treating the solvent-free residue from an alcoholic extract of black pepper, with a solution of potassium hydroxide to remove resin (said to contain chavicine, an isomer of piperine) and solution of the washed, insoluble residue in warm alcohol, from which the alkaloid crystallises on cooling.

Chlorine had been used in Iraq War and World War I
Chlorine is a toxic gas that irritates the respiratory system. Because it is heavier than air, it tends to accumulate at the bottom of poorly ventilated spaces. Chlorine gas is a strong oxidizer, which may react with flammable materials.
When used at specified levels for water disinfection, the reaction of chlorine with water is not a major concern for human health. Other materials present in the water may generate disinfection by-products that are associated with negative effects on human health, however, the health risk is far lower than drinking undisinfected water. Chlorine had been used in Iraq War and World War I.
In the Iraq War
Chlorine gas has also been used by insurgents against the local population and coalition forces in the Iraq War in the form of chlorine bombs. On March 17, 2007, for example, three chlorine-filled trucks were detonated in the Anbar province killing two and sickening over 350. Other chlorine bomb attacks resulted in higher death tolls, with more than 30 deaths on two separate occasions.
Most of the deaths were caused by the force of the explosions rather than the effects of chlorine, since the toxic gas is readily dispersed and diluted in the atmosphere by the blast. The Iraqi authorities have tightened security for elemental chlorine, which is essential for providing safe drinking water to the population.
In the World War I
Chlorine gas, also known as bertholite, was first used as a weapon in World War I by Germany on April 22, 1915 in the Second Battle of Ypres. As described by the soldiers it had a distinctive smell of a mixture between pepper and pineapple. It also tasted metallic and stung the back of the throat and chest.
Chlorine can react with water in the mucosa of the lungs to form hydrochloric acid, an irritant that can be lethal. The damage done by chlorine gas can be prevented by the activated charcoal commonly found in gas masks, or other filtration methods, which makes the overall chance of death by chlorine gas much lower than those of other chemical weapons.
It was pioneered by a German scientist later to be a Nobel laureate, Fritz Haber of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Berlin, in collaboration with the German chemical conglomerate IG Farben, who developed methods for discharging chlorine gas against an entrenched enemy. It is alleged that Haber's role in the use of chlorine as a deadly weapon drove his wife, Clara Immerwahr, to suicide. After its first use, chlorine was utilized by both sides as a chemical weapon, but it was soon replaced by the more deadly phosgene and mustard gas.

Introduct you five books about Emodin
BOOK 1:
J Nat Prod. 1995 Sep;58(9):1365-71.
Effect of anthraquinone derivatives on lipid peroxidation in rat heart mitochondria: structure-activity relationship.
Huang SS, Yeh SF, Hong CY.
Lipid peroxidation was induced in rat heart mitochondria with FeSO4 and the inhibitory effects of various anthraquinone derivatives were compared. Oxygen consumption and malondialdehyde formation were used to quantitate the amount of lipid peroxidation. Emodin(CAS NO:518-82-1), alizarin, and alizarin complexone significantly inhibited lipid peroxidation; their potency as inhibitors of lipid peroxidation was higher than that of alpha-tocopherol.
BOOK 2:
Cancer Res. 1995 Sep 1;55(17):3890-6.
Suppressed transformation and induced differentiation of HER-2/neu-overexpressing breast cancer cells by emodin(CAS NO: 518-82-1).
Zhang L, Chang CJ, Bacus SS, Hung MC.
The amplification and overexpression of the HER-2/neu proto-oncogene, which encodes the tyrosine kinase receptor p185neu, have been observed frequently in tumors from human breast cancer patients and are correlated with poor prognosis.
BOOK 3:
Oncogene. 1998 Jun 4;16(22):2855-63.
Tyrosine kinase inhibitors, emodin and its derivative repress HER-2/neu-induced cellular transformation and metastasis-associated properties.
Zhang L, Lau YK, Xi L, Hong RL, Kim DS, Chen CF, Hortobagyi GN, Chang C, Hung
We have previously shown that emodin suppresses tyrosine kinase activity of HER-2/neu-encoded p185neu receptor tyrosine kinase. In this study, we examine the relationship between the chemical structure and the activity of emodin and nine derivatives, and identified that one methyl, one hydroxy, and one carbonyl functional groups are critical for the biological activities of emodin.
BOOK 4:
Life Sci. 2007 Oct 13;81(17-18):1332-8. Epub 2007 Sep 19.
Emodin-mediated protection from acute myocardial infarction via inhibition of inflammation and apoptosis in local ischemic myocardium.
Wu Y, Tu X, Lin G, Xia H, Huang H, Wan J, Cheng Z, Liu M, Chen G, Zhang H, Fu J, Liu Q, Liu DX.
Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is associated with inflammation and apoptosis. Emodin plays an anti-inflammatory role in several inflammatory diseases. Recent studies have demonstrated that emodin protects against myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury.
BOOK 5:
Br J Pharmacol. 2010 Sep;161(1):113-26.
Emodin, a natural product, selectively inhibits 11beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 and ameliorates metabolic disorder in diet-induced obese mice.
Feng Y, Huang SL, Dou W, Zhang S, Chen JH, Shen Y, Shen JH, Leng Y.
This study demonstrated a new role for emodin as a potent and selective inhibitor of 11beta-HSD1 and its beneficial effects on metabolic disorders in DIO mice. This highlights the potential value of analogues of emodin as a new class of compounds for the treatment of metabolic syndrome or type 2 diabetes.

The Arterial Function of Isoflavone
Isoflavones are a class of phytoestrogens plant-derived compounds with estrogenic activity. Soybeans and soy products are the richest sources of isoflavones in the human diet.
Isoflavone(CAS NO: 574-12-9) is used for high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and preventing diseases of the heart and blood vessels. It is also used for type 2 diabetes, asthma, lung cancer, endometrial cancer, prostate cancer, and thyroid cancer, as well as preventing weak bones (osteoporosis), and slowing the progression of kidney disease.
Other uses include treating constipation and diarrhea, as well as decreasing protein in the urine of people with kidney disease, improving memory, and treating muscle soreness caused by exercise.
In foods, Isoflavone(CAS NO: 574-12-9) is used as a milk substitute in infant feeding formulas, and as an alternative to cow's milk. Isoflavones are eaten boiled or roasted. Isoflavone flour is used as an ingredient in foods, beverages, and condiments.
The preservation of normal arterial function plays an important role in cardiovascular disease prevention. The ability of arteries to dilate in response to nitric oxide produced by the endothelial cells that line their inner surface (endothelium-mediated vasodilation) is compromised in people at high risk for cardiovascular disease.
To date, results of randomized controlled trials on the effect of soy isoflavones on arterial function have been mixed. However, most placebo-controlled trials found no significant improvement in endothelium-mediated vasodilation when postmenopausal women were supplemented with up to 80 mg/day of soy isoflavones or up to 60 g/day of soy protein containing isoflavones. Arterial stiffness is another measure of arterial function. Measurements of arterial stiffness assess the distensibility of arteries, and a strong association between arterial stiffness and atherosclerosis has been observed.
In placebo-controlled clinical trials, supplementation of postmenopausal women with 80 mg/day of a soy isoflavone extract for five weeks significantly decreased arterial stiffness, as did supplementation of men and postmenopausal women with 40 g/day of soy protein providing 118 mg/day of soy isoflavones for three months.
Although most studies have not found supplementation with soy protein or isoflavones to improve endothelium-mediated vasodilation, preliminary research suggests that soy isoflavone supplementation may decrease arterial stiffness.
However, a recent randomized controlled, cross-over trial in hypertensive individuals found that supplementation with soy protein containing 118 mg/day of isoflavones for six months did not improve measures of arterial function, including arterial stiffness. More research is needed to determine whether supplementation with soy isoflavones improves arterial function.

The right way to take Citalopram Hydrobromide
Citalopram hydrobromide is a medicine which is used in depression and panic disorder. It is used to treat a variety of mental health problems. It is thought that Citalopram hydrobromide increases the activity and levels of certain chemicals in the brain. This can improve symptoms such as depression and anxiety.
Some people who take Citalopram hydrobromide(CAS NO: 59729-32-7) may find that it intensifies depression and suicidal feelings in the early stages of treatment. These people have an increased risk of self-harm or suicide in the early stages of taking Citalopram hydrobromide. As Citalopram hydrobromide starts to work these risks decrease.
It is important that you discuss with your prescriber how long it will take before you can expect to feel any benefits from taking Citalopram hydrobromide(CAS NO: 59729-32-7) , and how to take Citalopram Hydrobromide in the right way. Now, I will show you how to take this medicine.
Take Citalopram Hydrobromide with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily in the morning or evening. The dosage is based on your medical condition, response to treatment, age, laboratory tests, and other medications you may be taking.
Be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products). The maximum dosage for citalopram is 40 milligrams per day.
2.If you are using the liquid form of this medication, carefully measure the dose using a special measuring device/spoon. Do not use a household spoon because you may not get the correct dose.
To reduce your risk of side effects, your doctor may direct you to start taking this drug at a low dose and gradually increase your dose. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Do not increase your dose or use this drug more often or for longer than prescribed.
Your condition will not improve any faster, and your risk of side effects will increase. Take this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day.
It is important to continue taking Citalopram Hydrobromide even if you feel well. Do not stop takingCitalopram Hydrobromide without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when Citalopram Hydrobromide is suddenly stopped.
Also, you may experience symptoms such as mood swings, headache, tiredness, sleep changes, and brief feelings similar to electric shock.
To prevent these symptoms while you are stopping treatment with Citalopram Hydrobromide, your doctor may reduce your dose gradually. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. Report any new or worsening symptoms immediately.
5.It may take 1 to 4 weeks to feel a benefit from Citalopram Hydrobromide and up to several weeks before you get the full benefit.

Can Pregnant Women Take Ofloxacin?
Based on the results of animal studies, the Food and Drug Administration considers Ofloxacin a pregnancy Category C medication. This means that although the drug is generally not recommended for use in pregnant woman, it could be prescribed if the benefits to the woman outweigh the possible risks to the unborn child. This might occur if other, more suitable antibiotics are not available. In addition, medicines that have not been studied in any pregnant women or animals are automatically given a pregnancy Category C rating.
Ofloxacin(CAS NO:82419-36-1) can cause retarded ossification and arthropathy in young animals, but there is no published information about its teratogenicity in humans. A 36-year-old woman was treated with ofloxacin 200 mg bid for 6 days during the 19th week of gestation.
Research indicates that Ofloxacin(CAS NO:82419-36-1) can rapidly cross the blood-placenta and blood-milk barrier, and are extensively distributed into the fetal tissues. Peak concentration in human breast milk is similar to levels attained in plasma. Breast-feeding mothers who take ofloxacin may expose their infants to severe adverse reactions.
Other flouroquinolones have also been reported as being present in the mother’s milk and are passed on to the nursing child, which may increases the risk of the child suffering from this syndrome as well, even though the child had never been prescribed or taken any of the drugs found within this class.
The data on the safety of the fluoroquinolones in pregnancy contains conflicting reports and is to be considered incomplete due to the lack of adequate studies. But it should be noted that several studies have reported spontaneous abortions following the exposure to the fluoroquinolones during pregnancy, as well as therapeutic/elective abortions due to the perceived, as well as actual, risk of birth defects.
However, within one study the authors concluded that the use of quinolones during pregnancy may in some cases be necessary; e.g. drug resistant serious infections, but if safer antibiotics such as penicillin, cephalosporins or erythromycin are an option they should be used instead due to their clearer safety profile.
Ultrasound follow-up of the measurements and structure of the fetal long bones revealed no abnormalities. The neonate's physical examination and X-rays of the chest and long bones were normal. Although no teratogenic or toxic effects were observed in this patient, the use of ofloxacin in human pregnancy should only be a clinical consideration until sufficient evidence regarding its safety in the human fetus has been published.
Ofloxacin is a prescription antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is available as a tablet, an ophthalmic (eye) solution, and an otic (ear) solution. Ofloxacin belongs to a group of medications called fluoroquinolones, or "quinolones" for short. At this time, it is not known if Ofloxacin is safe for use during pregnancy.

The hazards of Benzenesulfonyl chloride
Benzenesulfonyl chloride is acolorless to slightly yellow solid that melts at approximately 40F. Very irritating to skin, eyes and mucous membranes. May emit toxic fumes when heated to high temperatures. Used to make dyes and other chemicals. Molecular Formula is C6-H5-Cl-O2-S, Molecular Weight is 176.62, and CAS NO is 98-09-9.
The major hazards encountered in the use and handling of benzenesulfonyl chloride stems from its toxicologic properties. Toxic by all routes (ie, inhalation, ingestion, and dermal contact), exposure to this colorless, oily liquid may occur from its manufacture and use as a catalyst, an intermediate in the production of phenols, amides, insecticides, miticides, and acaricides, and as a reagent for Friedel-Crafts sulfonation.
Effects from exposure may include contact burns to the skin and eyes, and liver damage. In activities and situations where over-exposure may occur, wear a positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus, and chemical protective clothing which has been specifically recommended by the shipper or manufacturer.
If contact Benzenesulfonyl chloride(CAS NO: 98-09-9)should occur, immediately irrigate exposed eyes with copious amounts of tepid water for at least 15 minutes, and wash exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes at the site. While benzenesulfonyl chloride does not ignite easily, it may burn with the production of poisonous gases.
Run off from fire control water may cause pollution. For fires involvin g benzenesulfonyl chloride, extinguish with dry chemical, CO2, water spray, fog, or regular foam. Small spills of this substance may be taken up with sand or other noncombustible absorbent and placed into containers for later disposal. Large spills should first be diked far ahead of the spill. Benzenesulfonyl chloride is a potential candidate for liquid injection or rotary kilnforms of incineration.
Insoluble and stable in cold water; decomposes in hot water to produce corrosive and toxic hydrochloric acid and benzenesulfonic acid. Rate of reaction decreases as temperature decreases.Special Hazards of Combustion Products: May contain highly toxic and irritating hydrogen chloride and oxides of chlorine and sulfur.
Cylinder may explode; decomposes to produce highly toxic chlorine and sulfur compounds. Reacts with hot water to produce highly toxic and corrosive hydrochloric acid and benzenesulfonic acid. May be fatal if inhaled, swallowed or absorbed through skin. Contact may cause skin and eye burns. Irritating to eyes, skin and mucous membranes. INGESTION: May cause abdominal spasm and vomiting.
Benzenesulfonyl chloride is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and bases, including amines. Corrodes metals in the presence of water due to slow formation of hydrochloric acid and benzenesulfonic acid. Benzenesulfonyl chloride may react vigorously or explosively if mixed with diisopropyl ether or other ethers in the presence of trace amounts of metal salts
Want to learn more information about Benzenesulfonyl chloride, you can access the guidechem.com. Guidechem.com is just a place for you to look for some chemicals.

What do you know about Cephalexin
Cephalexin is in a group of drugs called cephalosporin antibiotics and is used to fight bacteria in the body, it works by interfering with the bacteria's cell wall formation, causing it to rupture, and killing the bacteria.
Cefalexin(CAS NO:15686-71-2) is used to treat a number of infections including: otitis media, streptococcal pharyngitis, bone and joint infections, pneumonia, cellulitis, and urinary tract infections. It may be used to prevent bacterial endocarditis, it may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.
In addition to being a rational first-line treatment for cellulitis, Cefalexin(CAS NO:15686-71-2) is a useful alternative to penicillins in patients with penicillin hypersensitivity. In patients with mild or questionable history of penicillin allergy, cephalasporins are now thought to be relatively safe.
Caution should always be taken when prescribing cephalosporins to those with strong history of true penicillin hypersensitivity. However, because cefalexin and other first-generation cephalosporins are known to have a modest cross-allergy in patients with penicillin hypersensitivity.
Cefalexin may not be effective against bacteria that incorporate a gene for beta-lactamase on their R-plasmid as the beta-lactam ring is present in the chemical structure of cephalosporin derivatives.
Do not use Cephalexin if you are allergic to cephalexin or to similar antibiotics, such as Ceclor, Ceftin, Cefzil, Duricef, Fortaz, Omnicef, Spectracef, Suprax, and others. Before using cephalexin, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs (especially penicillins), or if you have kidney or liver disease, a stomach or intestinal disorder such as colitis, diabetes, or if you are malnourished.
It is important for you to keep a written list of all of the prescription and nonprescription (over-the-counter) medicines you are taking, as well as any products such as vitamins, minerals, or other dietary supplements. You should bring this list with you each time you visit a doctor or if you are admitted to a hospital. It is also important information to carry with you in case of emergencies.
Take Cephalexin for the entire length of time prescribed by your doctor; your symptoms may get better before the infection is completely treated. Cephalexin will not treat a viral infection such as the common cold or flu.
Keep all appointments with your doctor and the laboratory. Your doctor will order certain lab tests to check your response to cephalexin. If you are diabetic, use Clinistix, or TesTape (not Clinitest) to test your urine for sugar while taking this drug.
Do not let anyone else take your Cephalexin. Your prescription is probably not refillable, if you still have symptoms of infection after you finish the cephalexin, call your doctor.
